My Pack

Hi I’m Bre – and want to give you a quick ‘about me’.  I founded Lakes and Leashes because to be honest, leashes aren’t that pretty. I always had a difficult time shopping for a leash and collar that was creative, attractive, and discovering that the colours are so boring and drab, which inspired me to design my own. Every dog has a unique personality and I want my leashes to be as beautiful and special as they are. The leashes are handmade in Canada by me!

For those of you that know me, (and will get to know me), I have an indescribable deep love and obsession for my dogs – Mumford & Roo, but of course I love ALL dogs. I can’t walk by a dog without giving them a touch and a kiss, having a conversation with them. That unique smell of corn chips in their paws, the individual personalities, the unconditional love they give, the puppy breath & sharp baby teeth – ouch! The happiness they bring to a family, the dog hair on my furniture & clothes, giving them that special scratch and hearing them groan when you hit the ‘sweet spot’, the “BIG STRETCH” they do throughout the day, the warmth you feel from those surprise cuddles when you least expect it, when you have a stressful moment and the feeling is completely lifted when you lock eyes, and most of all, the laughter they bring to a home. ⠀

 My first leash collection is named after my friends dogs, and tested by them!  Every leash is as beautiful and as special as they are! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

I wanted to give a BIG thank you to everyone who has joined me on this exciting journey! There is SO much more I want to share, but I can’t let the ‘dog’s out of the bag’ just yet. Trust me, there will be lots of tail waggin’ going on. ⠀
